During Your stay in Finland You will be hosted by ordinary
finnish families. Hostfamilies are selected by Your clubs' YEO and counselor.
You will be welcomed as a member to Your hostfamily - in many cases it may
be that their own teenager is spending her year in some exchange program too.
You will have three hostfamilies during Your year, whether this 'rotation'
is good or bad, can be valued after our year. Mostly students
appreciate the possibility to see different ways of living in one country.
When You first receive the address of Your first
hostfamily, send them a postcard, short email - a first small sign that You
are coming. This starts a conversation and a new friendship to people who
live in different country from Yours.
As You move to a new hostfamily, it is time to sit down and have a talk
about family habits and practices. To help You and the family in this
